They were intent on having me try "cozze," or mussels, which are very fresh and a regional specialty. It was really nice eating outside in the garden, and the mussels were excellent; much smaller than we are accustomed to at home but also a lot sweeter.
It didn't show up that well in this photo, but the orange moon was quite stunning as we dined al fresco at 11:00 pm.
After dinner, a nice sorbetto with limoncello, and obligatory espresso, it was back to La Playa for a drink, as they were hosting a full moon party (irrespective of the actual waning moon as shown above). We stayed for a drink, and at about 1:00 am, headed back to the city center.
And, deciding it was time to call it an evening, we headed home at about 3:30 am. Just another summer day in Mazara :).
